What Is BTTS?

Both Teams to Score is a yes/no bet on whether each team will score at least one goal in the match.

The final score does not matter — only whether both sides found the net.

BTTS Yes typically pays around 1.70-1.90. BTTS No is usually slightly shorter.

Key Stats for BTTS

Check each team's BTTS percentage in recent matches (last 10-15 games).

Goals scored per game AND goals conceded per game are both crucial. A team that scores freely but also leaks goals is ideal for BTTS Yes.

xG and xGA give a more reliable picture than actual goals, which are subject to variance.

When BTTS Yes Has Value

Two attacking teams with poor defences — matches between open, attacking sides.

Derbies and rivalry matches where intensity leads to chances at both ends.

Teams chasing results late in the season — desperate attacking play leads to both teams scoring.

When BTTS No Has Value

Matches involving very strong defensive teams (teams with low xGA).

Teams on poor attacking form who rarely create chances.

Matches with little motivation — end-of-season games with nothing at stake often produce cagey affairs.

Combining BTTS

BTTS + Over 2.5 goals — if both teams score, at least 2 goals are guaranteed. The over 2.5 needs just one more.

BTTS + Result — higher odds but more precise prediction required.

BTTS in accumulators — a popular approach. But remember the margin compounds with each leg.

Tip: Check team defensive and attacking form on wagerbase football team pages before placing BTTS bets.
