Six weighted factors, scored monthly with funded accounts at every operator we rank. Affiliate commercials never change a position — the deal we have with an operator has zero bearing on whether they're rank 4 or rank 7.
Each factor produces a 0-100 sub-score; the weighted sum gives the editorial score used to rank operators.
We only list operators with a current UK Gambling Commission licence (UKGC). We verify the licence number on every operator card against the UKGC's public register monthly. Any operator that loses a UKGC licence is removed within 24 hours of the regulator notice, regardless of historical ranking.
Bonus headline numbers are noise. We model the real expected value of each welcome offer using the qualifying-deposit minimum, qualifying-bet odds, free-bet stake size, withdrawal speed, and wagering / playthrough requirements. The full ranking is reviewed every Monday. Any position change is logged with a reason — usually a change in welcome offer terms, a payout-speed regression, or an app update that materially improved (or hurt) UX. Major-event weeks (Cheltenham, World Cup, Euros) trigger ad-hoc re-reviews.
Each factor is weighted by its actual impact on a real punter, not by what's easy to score. App quality scores 20% because it determines daily UX; promo terms score 20% because that's where most users get burnt. Optional bells (loyalty programmes, branded content) don't enter the ranking.

Compensation never influences rankings. If we add or remove an operator from a top 10, we log the reason in the page's changelog. If our commercial relationship with an operator ends, that operator's ranking is reviewed but not automatically removed — unless they fail the licensing or scoring checks above.
